Yummy!

Our town had a taste of food festival this past Sunday and we ate our way right into gluttony. I know it's a mortal sin but I enjoyed it!

Yes, he's eating grass...at a food festival.

My loves!

I could just eat him up!

Fried brownie...you're only allowed one of these every 10 years or so...

A certain somebody stole the fried brownie...

A shared a brazilian chicken kabob with mommy...

Party time!

One of Cooper's friends had his 2nd birthday party at Gym.boree last weekend and Coop had a blast! Seriously, this kid was in constant motion! He loves this place and I'll probably look into a membership of some sort when winter arrives and we'll be looking for some good indoor things to stay busy...

Here are some pics from the party....

Look at that smile, he's having a blast!

The cupcakes were delicious, as you can tell...I wouldn't know because he didn't give me the time to eat one myself!

He loved the parachute games and songs!

Seriously, this was a great place for us to work on some of our physical therapy!

Never trust a quiet toddler...

Cooper's room was quiet so I assumed he was asleep until a quick check of the video monitor showed me bare cheeks rolling around his crib...

Who can be burdened with a diaper and pants?

"Hi, Mom! Just be thankful that I didn't pee or poop!" Oh, thank God for small miracles ;)

Cooper's halloween outfit!

I ordered Cooper's halloween and birthday party attire tonight! I just love this outfit for his rocket/space theme party! He'll wear this for his party and I'm going to make astronaut badges for all the party guests :)

Adventures in Cooperworld

OH, Sunday started with such promise as we headed to my neice's birthday party with a side trip to Georgia's largest fleamarket. It ended with an ER visit and an official diagnosis of Asthma.

Cooper had an upper respiratory infection about 2 weeks ago (and Pneumonia 2 months ago!) and Asthma has been suspected for a few months because of Cooper's number of pulmonary infections and Sunday we had our first actual asthma attack. It was scary. Luckily, we live near an awesome children's hospital and our ped is equally awesome. He's on an oral steriod and an albuterol inhaler for this week and will also be on a maintenance medicine until Spring when we'll reevaluate the situation. He doesn't like the nebulizer machine but I was able to get a whole treatment done this morning while he watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse which is my go to bribe!

Here's some pics of our day before things went crazy...

My neice's birthday party was at an arcade and Cooper loved this thing...I still don't know what it does, lol!

We bought Cooper his first big boy chair last weekend and let me tell you, this kid loves it! The very first night he drank his nightly cup of milk and watched Wheel of Fortune in it. Here's the thing, these are two things that he normally does in my lap every night. We've had this nightly ritual since like the day he came home from the hospital. Hmmm, I wonder if this makes me a bad mom? Hello, he's learning the alphabet! ;)

He's so excited!

Saturday morning cartoons!

Side note: Our living room is just a kid's play room now with some furniture in it. There's toys and book every where...but, it's a happy living room :)

22 months!

Cooper is 22 months today! Parts of me are sad that time is going by so fast but then other parts of me are so thrilled about what an awesome little dude he's turning into. He makes me laugh everyday, like I've taught him to pinch his daddy's nipples and he'll do it just to make me laugh. I love the nipple game, my hubby not so much!

Cooper's 2nd birthday party planning is in full swing! We're doing a "Blast off with Cooper!" party which will be rockets and space themed. One of my friends from highschool has started an etsy shop called Semper Chic Boutique and she made Cooper's birthday t-shirt. I got the shirt early because I'm having custom invites made and need a cute pic of Cooper for them. I'm a stay-at-home mom so I have a little extra time to party plan and since he's my one and only, (in the house) I take his party very seriously. I'll be sharing details as we go along but wanted to share his birthday t-shirt:

Cooper started a one day a week, mom's morning out about 3 weeks ago. The drop-off is a little rough with a lot of tears (and, anxiety on my part) and I used to think this was seperation anxiety but I'm thinking this is just his personality. He does this everywhere, whether it's church, MOPs, MMO, it doesn't matter how many times he goes, it always starts with tears. Today, I picked him up and he was so happy to see me! He crawled across the room and nearly leapt into my arms! It was so sweet because he put his head on my shoulder and wrapped his arm around my neck and gave me a really tight squeeze. Oh, I adore him.

In the interest of honesty, this pic was taken last Friday but this cute little dude is 22 months old! He got a haircut the very next day after this pic was taken because it seriously grows like a weed! And, yes, I do have fake flowers on my patio, lol..
