Pumpkin patch!

We finally made it for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch on the first Fall weekend day that wasn't rained out which was last Sunday!  It was just C and I since the hubby was out of town but we still had a great time!  Coop loved doing the corn maze which took us about an hour to complete, not because it was hard, but because we had to stop and touch every other corn stalk. I figure he's only little once and we didn't have anything else to do so we talked a lot about corn.

The hayride on our way to the corn maze...

It was like the corn maze was his catwalk...

He refused to look at me because this one picture was keeping him from the pumpkins...

The fair...

The fair was in town last month so we decided to take Cooper.  This was a trip that he was either going to love or we'd be there for 10 minutes because he hated it.  So, with that in mind, I decided to take him opening night since admission was free, haha!

He was mesmerized as soon as we entered the gates!  I pretty much rode with him on any ride that he wanted to go on with the exception of one...

No lie, the huge slide terrified me but he loved every second...

His first time playing a carnival game...

and, he won a penguin...that penguin now goes with us everywhere...

And, this is where I drew my line in the sand with what I was willing to ride. Um, no.

We're going on a hunt!

Today, we went on a nature hike and scavenger hunt!  It was a wonderful 73 degrees today and overcast so it was perfect!  I am so ready for Fall!

He's attempting to use binoculars, lol

 Our scavenger hunt...

First day of Kindergarten!

This kid is in kindergarten!!  I don't know how we got here so fast but, alas, my wee preemie is now in real big kid school!  The school year is almost a month in and he LOVES school!

His first day of kindergarten was also Lily's 7th Heavenly birthday. I cried that day...

Who knew!?!

This morning we went over to the playground which has an attached basketball court.  Some one had left their basketball so we "borrowed" it and I discovered that Coop is a basketball fan!  He literally attempted to shoot  the ball into the hoop at least 50 times and he never got mad or gave up.  I mean, the hoop is several feet taller that him but he didn't let that deter him!  He also learned how to dribble this morning which requires tons of hand/eye coordination but he did great!

Personally, I'm not a basketball fan and really only remember a few rules from my school days but I guess I'm going to need to read a "dummy's guide to basketball" book real quick, haha!

I promised him that we'd practice every day until he's able to make this shot all on his own :)

New playground!

I've mentioned in previous posts that we live very close to Cooper's school so we were excited to hear that the school built a new playground over the summer!  We've been starting or ending our days at this playground for the last few weeks and Coop's really enjoying it!

Perfection!

This post is simply to showcase how perfectly adorable that my son is...He's getting more handsome as he grows!!
