I love my life!

I don't think I've ever truly stated on here just how much I love being a stay-at-home mom. I LOVE being to watch him learn and do everything first hand and this is truly a blessing (and, a sacrifice as we have to watch every penny now.) I totally have my husband to thank because he is totally supportive and works so hard so that I can enjoy this time with our son. I get sad that this time with Cooper, all day everyday is so finite. One day, he'll go to school and I'll only see him in the evenings. :(

But, for now, I'm going to relish every laugh. I'm going to give as many hugs and kisses as I can everyday. He's brought me so much love and meaning and I'm in total awe everyday of how blessed that I am...

These pics are from the zoo yesterday!

He doesn't want to be in the stroller now that he's a proficient stander and crawler. I'm really having to let go of my germ fears! You'll see what he's fascinated by in the next pic...

This guy seriously sat there for a good 10 minutes and stared at the kids! It was awesome to see this huge dude so close!

The don't call Atlanta, Hotlanta for no reason. It's hotter than Hades these days so I go through these misters as often as possible!

Cooper, just being cute...

Cooper and the mini-Cooper

How funny is this pic? For a kid that's still rear-facing, he sure does know how to rock the driver seat!

I see this as a Christmas 2012 present, for sure! ;)

Breaking up is hard to do!

Except in this case!

Yesterday, Cooper's PT said that he doesn't need the stander anymore! His legs are strong enough now that they're fully capable of standing for minutes at a time yet. He's still not able to stand independently but the stander isn't going to help with that anyways. Here's the thing, now that his legs are strong enough, he has to learn what they're for!

We're working on furniture cruising which is a new move for him. So, I have my hands on his hips and move one leg and he pulls the other one along. He'll get it!

He's just an amazing kid! He works so hard for the things that most kids do without much thought. His PT thinks that he'll be furniture cruising and walking behind push toys by his 2nd birthday which is November 1st. I guess I'll be buying him one of those kid vacuum cleaners or a lawn mover for his birthday! Yay!

And, I am throwing him the BIGGEST party when he starts to walk! He'll deserve it for all of his hard work!

Good bye, cumbersome stander! Thank you for holding up my kid for 20-30 minutes everyday! I'd like to say that I'll miss you...

Mommy's first weekend away!

Two weeks ago, my bestfriend (of 25 years!) and I went to Boston for a girl's weekend. I've never been away from Cooper overnight so this was a big, HUGE deal for me. He was with my hubby so he was in good hands! I know that I'm not ready for an overnight trip were he's with other people yet...

We spent the whole day in Boston on Friday (24th) and the next day was spent in Salem. I seriously could move to either city tomorrow! The food is great and the atmosphere is just so much fun! I'm a HUGE history buff so being around so much of it is just intoxicating to me :)

Cooper was at home in Atlanta but I saw signs of him though!

I saw this sign as we were walking to find a restroom for the millionth time for my bestfriend who has to pee more than any human being that I know...sorry, tangent ;)

This sign was on the house that is right next to The House of Seven Gables.

The lowlight of the trip was that Cooper came down with Pneumonia on Saturday. Seriously, the ONE time that I leave and he's in the ER with a 104.5 fever. I fly non-rev (stand by) because my hubby works for the airlines. There were no available flights out of Boston on Saturday night or all day Sunday even if I wanted to pay for a ticket. I had to fly from Boston to New York to DC just to get home to my sick baby. So, yeah, no more girl trips for a long, long time!

A train ride!

Ha, it's just the little train that goes around the zoo! We have a zoo membership and we go A LOT but this was the first time that we rode the train. I don't know why that it is, actually!

I'm a hot sweaty mess so ignore me and look at the cute smile on Coop's face :)

I've been such a slack mommy blogger and there is no excuse other than I've just been lazy!

A couple of weeks ago we went back to the local park with all the ducks to feed them our old bread. It was fun because it was on a Tuesday evening with daddy! Cooper is with me all day long and he really, really enjoys when daddy is home to play :)

Cooper feeding the ducks...

feeding daddy...

And, then feeding himself the stale bread...ewww...

Big rock, little boy

"I see you, mommy!"

Also, I haven't been able to comment on blogs but a fellow blogger helped me figure out the problem! I've been reading (check your stats!) and now, I can finally start commenting again!)
