These are the days...

These are the days that I hope to always remember where it's the three of us having spontaneous fun in a mall fountain.  I hope I always hear Cooper's joyful laughter in my mind and heart as my boys run through the water getting drenched in the process.  I hope he always knows that we'd do anything for him just to see his sweet smile and to give him the best life ever...

Toddler Olympics

My Mom's Club organized a toddler Olympics this morning in honor of the opening ceremonies today and needless to say it was a blast! We did an obstacle course with play tunnels, hula hoops and pool noodles. We had a soccer goal for them to kick balls into but their favorite activity was throwing water balloons. All I know is that a certain little boy took a 3 hour nap this afternoon!

I made the poster and torch, lol...

He's growing up!

There are so many things that people with normally developing kids take for granted and one of those things is taking your kids to the park.  Our time at the park used to be me picking him up and moving him from here to there because it was too tricky for him to crawl.  Then, I would have to hold him up as he would slide down the slide because he wasn't strong enough to stay upright while going down the slide.  Now, he's got the park in the bag and he LOVES the park now!

Cooper's walking celebration!

We had Cooper's walking celebration on Saturday and in one word it was, perfect!  Our family and closest friends were there to celebrate Cooper's huge milestone and I wouldn't change anything about the party :)

I spent 2 hours making these Mickey Mouse party hats but it was a labor of love!

Ha, I couldn't resist!

Ain't no mountain high enough!

Okay, it's not a mountain but a really, really big rock!   I have to tell you that our family is getting to do so many new adventures now that Cooper is among the walking!  He loves exploring areas that would've been too hard to maneuver in his crawling days and we're just have a blast!

We went to a park near our house the other day where this rock resides and Cooper climbed to the top(with Daddy's assistance) and was very proud of himself!  I'm still at that stage of parenting a new walker where  I'm excited for his new accomplishments but a little anxious that he's going to hurt himself.  I keep the anxious me in lockdown as usual and I'm probably going to die young from suppressing so many emotions the last 4 years!

My menfolk!

The top!

Cheap fun!

It's been hotter than hades lately so we've been doing a lot of indoor entertainment and a new spot of ours is the quarter rides at the mall.  He's one of those kids that doesn't really care if the machine is running or not so if it's just us there than I just let him go from one machine to the other.  I give him $3.00 to use (not that he understands!) so he does get to ride them, too.  Although, this has started a little bit of an addiction because now he points to the machines as we enter Walmart expecting to ride them, too...

Eh, he likes them and they're only little once!  Those smiles only cost me some quarters...and, anti-bacterial lotion :)

His sign for "more!"

Calgone take me away!

Cooper loves a nice bubble bath after a long day of playing and just being goofy!  He likes to carry that goofiness into the bathtub and I couldn't resist snapping some pics of the silliness!

I'm pretty sure that mess around his mouth is the remnants of mixed berry fig newtons, his new favorite treat...Okay, I'm hoping that brown stuff around his mouth is fig newtons, lol...

Lazy blogger

Geez, I was a lazy blogger in June!  Life is always busy so I can't complain about not having time!  Anyways, I'm back at it :)

I took a look earlier today of the pics from our last 3 Independence day celebrations that we've been beyond blessed to share with Cooper and couldn't help but smile!  I got all misty eyed while listening to Katy Perry's firework (that was played several times on Tuesday and Wednesday for the holiday) because he really is a firework with all that he's been through since day one of entering this world.  He makes me so proud because he's really showing everybody what he's got and he's got a lot of it...That "it" is spunk and determination!  His big walking party is next Saturday and I'm sure I'll be totally sick of Mickey by the end of next Saturday, lol...

My favorite part of the song:

'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on, show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
