What a lovely day for a picnic!

I love being outside and Spring is my favorite season! The pollen count in Georgia is already crazy so I'm hoping to spend as much time outside before our world becomes yellow!

Cooper is still warming up to the eating outside bit :)
Cooper is into feeding himself these days which means one bite in his mouth and the other bite thrown wherever...
Smiling with a mouthful of food!

Cooper LOVES to read and we take books with us everywhere!
I love this kid!

We have Spring fever!

And, the cure is to eat lunch on the patio!

We made a homemade birdfeeder so that the birds can eat with us!

More St. Patty's day fun!

We went to a local St. Patrick's day festival and we had a blast!
I've never had a caricature done of myself and I'm 33 (next Saturday, yikes!) but Cooper has one and he's only 16 months! It was so much fun watching this picture come out and I think it fits Cooper perfectly!

Cooper and the green fountain!

Both of us and the green fountain!

I just thought this one was funny :)

We're just hanging out! The weather was so pretty yesterday!

Both of us in our green!

I hope everyone had a lot of fun yesterday! I bumped into a MOPS friend yesterday at the festival and we joked about how different St. Patrick's day is when you have kids! But, I had just as much fun, well, maybe even more :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Cooper is my gold at the end of the rainbow!

"Look at all my gold coins! I'm rich!"

"Hey mommy, have you seen this sign?"

Cooper standing by himself at the coffee table

Cooper is working so hard these days with using his legs for their intended purpose! He's awesome and knows that the stander means that he gets to watch cartoons (his tv time is very limited) and he loves helping me put his braces on! That hard work is starting to pay off...

Here is a short video of Cooper standing ALL BY HIMSELF at the coffee table! He's still not able to pull himself up (hence the coffee table not being child proofed yet) but he will stand for short periods of time. Oh, he's not whining when he falls to his bottom because he's hurt but because he wants the camera....

My sister took all of these pics from our day at Watson's Mill and they were too cute to not share!

Yesterday, we spent the day at Watson Mill State Park with my family. We had a lot of fun! Cooper played on the playground with his cousins, we had a picnic, we spent sometime on the covered bridge, and took a nature walk! The weather was awesome and it was such a blessing to spend the quality time with our extended family.

Also, this park is also where my hubby and I got married!

I only included this corny pic of me so that you could see the covered bridge and the water! Otherwise, I hate this pic of me!

I love this pic because it has my two favorite boys and you get a good look at the tattoo that my hubby got in honor of Lily :)

I have a general rule that if it's nice outside than we're going to be out in it! Spring time is right around the corner and Spring is beautiful in Georgia! The weather is perfect! Although, it does get a little brutal when the pollen shows up but I'm not thinking about that too much right now!

Cooper LOVES his smartrike!

Cooper also LOVES the swings!

Cooper is starting to stand on his legs! Woot Woot! He still needs a lot of help but he's not just buckling his legs down anymore which is a huge improvement!

We're going to my hometown today to have a picnic at the park where my hubby and I got married! I'm just so excited to take Cooper!

Cooper and his new wheels

We bought Cooper a Smartrike last Friday and wouldn't you know that the weather sucked for several days in a row? I was super excited to see some sunshine today so Cooper rode on his new tricycle!

His legs are long enough (or strong enough) to reach the pedals so we used the leg plate for the front~ It has an umbrella which is blocking the handle that is used for pushing the tricycle.
Cooper scoping things out...

I just thought it was cute how he's holding onto the handlebars :)

This would be Cooper's serious face...he's not a toddler to be messed around with ;)

The weather is supposed to 70 degrees tomorrow so we're going to our favorite park for a picnic and a bike ride! Yay!

Another true story...

The back story: Cooper promptly removes his shoes and socks during any drive so I'm always putting them back on when we reach our destination. Really, I should just wait to put shoes and socks on him but truly, I'm worried that I'll leave the house without them if they're not physically on his body. I swear, motherhood has made my brain work slower!

So, it rained terribly all day yesterday in Georgia. I'm talking about bend your umbrella in half rain, people! But, I wanted to take Cooper to storytime at the library before meeting up with some mommy friends for lunch. We get to the library and I run to the backseat and shut the door to keep the rain from soaking both of us so that I can put his shoes and socks back on. Then, it occurs to me that the child-lock is on. Yes, people I had locked myself in the back of the car! As you can tell from the picture that Cooper is still rear-facing and in the middle so I had to crawl over his carseat to get to the other side and thank the good Lord that door was unlocked! Listen, I am almost 33 and out of shape so I was dreading how I was going to crawl to the front if the other door was locked, too! On top of all this, I get ready to get Cooper out of the car and my umbrella is jerked out of my hands by the freaking wind so I'm running throught the library parking lot in the pouring rain with my poor child sitting in the car. It was quite the adventure! Luckily, I didn't cuss not once...well, in front of Cooper anyway!

I think everyone else was busy getting their kids into the library so I'm hoping my audience to this spectacular show was very small...

Only me! Or, you could all make me feel better and tell me about some of your crazy mommy moments!

Cooper's 16 months stats...

Last Friday, we took Cooper for a wellness check. Homeboy is now 16 months old! Anyone else shocked at how fast time flies when you have a baby? Time felt like it was moving backwards when I was pregnant (or, at least it did for me but maybe a traumatic previous pregnancy and the threat of death with this one will do that to you...) but time has flown since he's miraculous appearance 16 months ago!

At 16 months:

Weight: 23.6 lbs (27%)
Height: 33 inches ( 87%)
Head circumference: 19.5 (94%)

His ped did say that he's about 6 months behind in his physical developement but that's to be expected with his hypotonia. She's predicting that he won't start walking until 2 but I'm not worried! My Father has Cooper in His hands so he'll walk when he's going to walk. Period. He's doing great with his crawling these days and he is standing more, too!

Cooper before we left for church on Sunday. I have to brag for a moment on his outfit because EVERYTHING that he's wearing came from an consignment sale. The whole outfit, including his shoes, cost me $10! Yay!

Happy anniversary to mommy and daddy :)

Friday was our 5th wedding anniversary and we had a mostly fun day. It started out with taking Cooper to a wellness check-up (which included the MMR shot, so this was the unfun part) but then we went to lunch and got some cupcakes for us to enjoy at home.

My hubby was sneaky and told me that he was expecting a package that I would need to sigh for...he knows that Cooper and I like to roam the streets so he wanted to make sure that we were home when these beautiful flowers arrived! My hubby insists that Cooper had told him all week to send me flowers :)

These divine little darlings are from Gigi's cupcakes! They were delicious!
Cooper with us anniversary treat :) A banana cream cupcake!

He loved the vanilla cookie and the banana pudding that was inside the cupcake!

Needless to say, there is a huge mess when a toddler feeds himself a cupcake! In the end, I just picked him up and rinsed him off at the kitchen sink :)

I am a blessed wife and mommy!
