Another first!

Cooper took his first bath by himself in his bathroom! I haven't felt comfortable with him being in the bathtub without my hands on him all the time until recently. So, we bought all the necessary bath gadgets and drew him a bubble bath.

I think the smile on his face shows exactly how he felt about the experience :)

Maybe, these bath gadgets are necessary but I still have a memory of being about 5 and watching my sister crack her nose and chin onto the side of the bathtub. She had a surgery for a deviated septum about 8 years ago and they told her that it looked like her nose had been broken sometime in her life. I'm thinking she did it in the bathtub so I'm not taking any chances, lol...

Pudding paint

All I did for this activity was make vanilla pudding and add food coloring. This activity is fun because it's a lesson on colors and it's really tasty! It is a big mess to clean up afterwards but he had so much fun that I didn't mind the extra work...

"Now, what is this stuff???"

"I still don't know what it is but I like the feel of it..."

"And, the taste of it!"

My little jokester!

Cooper has an upper respiratory infection but that isn't keeping him from being the funniest person in our house! He makes me laugh!

I love his little giggles through the door :)

One foot in front of the other...

Our friends loaned us a Jeep walker for Cooper to practice his walking and he took a few steps in it the other day. I'm not going to lie, I got a bit misty eyed :)

A picture perfect day~

My hubby has been on vacation since last Thursday and I have so enjoyed the extra family time this week. We were supposed to go to Pittsburgh for a mini-family reunion but plans fell through so we've just be chilling at home. What do they call vacations at home, staycays?

One of the days we headed over to Marietta's beautiful square and had an awesome lunch and spent time admiring the flowers and putting our feet in the fountain. Typically, I would never put my feet in a public fountain but everyone else was doing it, lol...

Me and my lovey :)

He's so funny and I just love his smile!

We went to an Australian bakery for lunch and the meat pies were to die for! Cooper had the sheperd's pie and devoured it! I'm not going to lie, we also had some really yummy deserts!

We don't live in Marietta but we're only a short 15 minute drive away so I see many more lazy days spent hanging out at the square!

I'm a craigs.list stalker...

I am quickly becoming addicted to craigs.list. Seriously. You can find some good stuff on there and I could've said us some serious dough if I had searched out used baby stuff instead of being a diva at BRU when I was pregnant with Cooper. I recently sold tons of great quality barely used baby stuff on there last week myself and it's so easy!

I bought this Little Tikes table and chairs yesterday for $5! Great condition and Cooper likes sitting there and going over his flashcards :)

I bought all of these like brand new puzzles for $15! Some of them are Melissa and Doug puzzles which easily go for $15 a piece so I consider this a big SCORE!

Cooper is fascinated with the fishing puzzle...it's like magic ;)

Where a kid can be a kid!

We took my nieces and Cooper to Chuck.ie Chees.e's yesterday and had a lot of fun! Cooper can actually play on some stuff now that he's sitting up and standing so these places are a lot more fun for me than they used to be! I can't wait until he's walking and do all the things that kids his age can do :)

Cooper, Caitlyn and me...as you can tell by most of the pics that you see of me, I'm not a huge fan of make-up, lol...

My menfolk

A little blurry but still a cute pic. I personally hate Barney so we don't watch him at our house but maybe, I'll put my feelings to the side since Cooper was enamoured...

Goodbye braces!

Yesterday, Cooper's PT said that he no longer needs his braces! Yay! The muscles in his legs and ankles are getting strong enough where he doesn't need the extra support!

So, we had a very symbolic tossing of the braces ceremony yesterday! I say symbolic because those braces were almost $2000 so they'll never be "gone" just put away :)

Cooper's new trick!

Things are really interesting around our house this days. We now have a monkey that likes to crawl over everything...
