Some days, I like to just sit on the sidelines and watch him. I never lose sight of how fleeting and precious time is and, how truly thankful that I am to be his mommy...

A weekend away...
We went to Pittsburgh for a family reunion a couple of weekends ago and it was really nice to see my hubby's side of the family. Most of his family haven't seen Coop since he was about 6 months old so I'd say the visit was long overdue!
Safety first!
The weather was about 74 degrees while we were there. It was 91 in Georgia that day so the lovely weather was greatly appreciated!
Coop and I should never sleep together. It sucks..(but, he's cute!)
We couldn't resist spending a lot of time outside in the lovely weather!
Coop stole Grandpap's throne...
We were watching cartoons together. I love my babies <3 br="" nbsp="">3>
The family reunion was a lot of fun...and, there was a pool!
The water was chilly but he swam most of the day and passed out like a rock!
Bookworm!
I'm an avid reader and Cooper loves books, too! I read to him while I was pregnant, at his NICU bedside, and have read him at least 2 books a day since he came home from the hospital. He "reads" many books throughout the day and I put up a stack every single night. My heart always smiles when I pick up that stack of books and put them back on the bookshelf in the playroom...
We go to the library AND Barnes and Noble once a week...
All he needs is a seat, a drink and a book and he's at home!
Back to school!
Cooper started his 3rd (and, final) year in his special needs preschool on August 4th! He's such a big kid these days! We're still walking to school every morning (my favorite part of the day!) and he just walked back into the classroom like he never had a summer break! Luckily, the teachers, classroom and most of his classmates were all the same so that helps immensely!
The obligatory first day of school pic :)
He loves to conquer this mountain every morning!
He went right in and got to work!
His big sister's birthday...
Lily is never forgotten from our family. It's been important to my hubby and I that Cooper is knows that he has a big sister and that she's waiting for us in Heaven. Her 6th angelversary was on August 3rd so we celebrated the day by doing some of our favorite things...
We spent a lot of time at the river. I always feel closest to her when I'm in nature. It's silly but Heaven doesn't seem so far away when I can feel the sun on my skin, the water on my feet, see the butterflies flitter around and gaze upon my sweet Cooper, too.
She would've started kindergarten this year. It's hard to believe...
What's a birthday without cupcakes?
Her urn. The picture of the 3 of us together. I'll always cherish the way that she felt in my arms...
